Taylor spent the majority of our wetlands trip hanging out in the stroller. A small wooden walkway over water and a one year old just don't really mesh well.
It turned out to be a great day to visit the wetlands! We saw tons of frogs and turtles. We even saw a bunch of snakes!
Brayden was our expert frog spotter. He would walk really slowly and bend down to examine the water. He would get so excited every time he found a frog.
Our sweet little boy has always had a very big heart when it comes to nature and critters that live in nature. He had a bit of a hard time witnessing the food chain in action. Brayden spotted this really cute little frog sitting really still in the water. Then we noticed the snake sneaking up on the poor little frog. Brayden was very concerned about the little frog and didn't want the snake to eat it. We watched the snake stalk the frog for a very long time, because Brayden didn't want to leave the frog. We finally managed to pull him away from the scene, but several times during the rest of the trip he asked us if we thought the frog was ok.
Brayden had the best time at the wetlands. He has always been the happiest when he is outside exploring. He probably saw about 40 frogs and each one was just as exciting as finding the first frog.
