Back to the Blueberry Patch

The Leesburg wetlands turned out to be pretty small, so after we ate our picnic lunch it was still pretty early.  Since we were already in Leesburg, we decided to take my mom out to the blueberry patch.  We had been blueberry picking at the same patch two weeks earlier and loved it.

It was a gorgeous day out.  It actually wasn't even too hot outside.  Brayden was really excited to start picking and was determined to fill up his little red bucket.  Taylor was happier taking the blueberries out of her red bucket than keeping them inside of it.  She loves blueberries!!

It was amazing seeing how much Taylor grew in the two weeks since our last visit.  This trip she was happy to get out of the stroller and pick some blueberries.  She was great at reaching into the bush and grabbing the blueberries.   She would then immediately gobble up the blueberries.

Taylor's balance and cruising skills have also improved.  During this trip, she was standing up and cruising around the patch.  Brayden really wanted to help Taylor pick blueberries.  He stopped picking his own blueberries and just wanted to focus on showing his little sister where to find the blueberries.

He would pull the branches down, so that Taylor could reach better.  He would also scout ahead and find bushes that had blueberries on low branches.

It was really great watching the kids get along so well and seeing Brayden be an awesome big brother.

After Taylor got a taste of blueberry picking, she did not want to go back in the stroller.  She spent the rest of the trip either being held or holding on to the bushes!

After picking blueberries, we had a little snack down by the pond.  Blueberry picking was a hit again!  Brayden has already started asking about what we can go pick next.  He can't wait to go pick apples and pumpkins!  Hard to believe, but Taylor will probably be off and running by the time apple picking begins.
