Both of our little beach babies loved being back at the beach. It was amazing to see how much Taylor had grown since our beach trip four months ago. This trip she wasn't using bottles and was completely on big people food.
The other huge difference was that she was walking for this trip! Not only walking, but running around on the sand! Most of the time she would be running after Brayden. She adores her big brother and wants to do everything he does.
We set up our tent and chairs and stayed at the beach every morning of our trip. We would go down to the beach early and stay until the kids were hungry, usually around 1:30. Taylor was a trooper and managed to stay awake most of our beach time. She did, however, fall asleep while eating a few lunches!
Brayden had so much fun playing on the beach. He made mazes, dug holes, pretended to fish, and did many other things.
During the trip, Brayden became an expert crab catcher! He would sneak up on crabs and grab them with his bare hands.
Every afternoon we would go on a short outing or rest at the house for a bit and then head back down to the beach. In the early evening, all the tidal pools would appear. Brayden loved splashing in the tidal pools and setting up races through the tidal pools with his toys.
Taylor had a great time playing in the sand. She liked finding sticks and shells to pick up. She wasn't too thrilled with the actual ocean. She would walk near it, but didn't want to go in it.
We are always so thrilled when we see the kids enjoying the beach as much as we do. They were both so excited to go to the beach each day. They would take out every beach toy and start playing.
Taylor's favorite beach toy was probably the beach chairs. She has always really loved chairs for some reason. We had three chairs set up and she would make sure to go sit in each of the them several different times throughout the morning.
