Outer Banks Trips to the Lighthouse

During our beach trip, we made sure to take a drive to the Currituck Lighthouse.  The kids had fun running around on the boardwalks looking at the sound.  There were a bunch of people crabbing off the bridges.  Brayden met some nice people who showed him some of the crabs they caught.

He was really excited watching the people catch crabs.  He would wait and watch to see if they caught a crab.  Then, he would watch them measure the crabs to see if it was too small to keep.

Taylor thought the water was pretty neat, but mostly was just happy to hang out with her big brother.

We took a walk on the wetlands pathway that is by the lighthouse.  Brayden loved searching for frogs and found a whole bunch of them.  He even ended up pointing some out to other people walking on the walkway.

We spent quite a bit of time searching for frogs.  Taylor thought searching for frogs was too tiring and slept through most of the walk.

The wetlands walk is on our must do list for our Outer Banks trips.  Brayden loves being outside exploring nature.  Add in some water and frogs and he is a very happy little boy.
