He found a couple of old trees that he could climb inside of. He enjoyed watching the creek run by the path. There were four bridges that crossed over the creek. Brayden made sure we walked over every bridge.
Taylor spent the first part of the walk quietly enjoying the view from her stroller. On the walk back, she started to get restless. I decided to take her out of the stroller and let her walk around. Apparently, that was not the best idea. Instead of walking on the path, our little explorer only wanted to climb over the fence and walk around in the woods.
We kept pulling her off the fence and she would just run right back over and start climbing again. We tried to put her back in the stroller, but once she had freedom she did not want to go back in. We tried just carrying her, but she was determined to get down and climb the fence. We decided to walk much faster back to the car as Taylor made it very clear, very loudly to all the people enjoying the serenity of the woods that she was not a happy camper!
Another one of our outings was to the Exploratorium. The kids loved that they were able to touch everything! Both kids ran excitedly from one exhibit to another checking everything out.
Brayden really liked the activities where you could race two things or try to make one thing go higher than another thing.
Taylor really liked finding buttons and things she could spin.
Taylor was thrilled to discover the museum had an enormous chair for her to sit on!
