Not only were a bunch of characters at lunch, but Santa Claus was also there! Taylor didn't want to sit with Santa, but was okay being held next to him. Brayden was very happy to tell Santa his Christmas list. He told Santa he wants a bike, an Angry Birds game, a dinosaur that turns into a car, a Jake toy, and a dragon.
During lunch, Taylor made a huge breakthrough with the characters! In the past, she has actually tried to crawl over our shoulders to get away from the characters when they come near her. This time she actually smiled at them and reached out to touch several of them. We are hoping that this means when we go to Disney in a couple months that she won't be scared of the characters.
Brayden had a great time interacting with the characters. He even got up and danced with Elmo!
After lunch we headed into the park. We noticed two things. First, it had pretty much stopped raining. Second, most people don't come to Sesame Place if it has been raining. The place was deserted! The great thing was that all the rides, shows, and character meet and greets were still open. The kids got to meet just about every character in the park without any lines!
Brayden was so excited to find the Count, Bert and Ernie standing all together! Brayden had been so sad that his favorite character, the Count, hadn't been at lunch.
Even though it was cold, the kids had a great time at the park. They had all the fun displays to themselves.
They got to ride on all the rides without any wait. They even rode the carousel a few times in a row!
We saw all the fun Christmas shows that we had missed the previous day. So although the weather was pretty bad, it turned out to be a fabulous time to go to Sesame!
