We were all very sad to check out of our awesome suite.  Brayden was the most upset.  He really loved having Ghirardelli chocolates left on his pillow every night.  He loved coming back to the hotel after turn down service and jumping on the bed to see what color chocolate was left on his pillow.  Taylor and Brayden met the woman that leaves the chocolates as she was heading to our room one night.  She thought the kids were adorable and proceeded to give them both handfuls of Ghirardelli chocolate squares.  We left the hotel with bags of chocolates!

We drove down to Aptos, CA where Paul and Traci were getting married.  The new hotel in Aptos was close to the Monterey Bay Aquarium.  We had some time before all our friends started arriving, so we went out to the aquarium.


The aquarium was wonderful.  The kids really liked the big shark tanks.  Taylor was so excited to see lots of buttons to press.  It was adorable watching her stretch up on her tip toes trying to push all the buttons.

Both kids loved the touch pool.  Taylor put her hand right in to touch the starfish.


The kids found this fun little hideout that they could sit in.  Every few minutes a wave would crash down on the glass right above them.  They loved watching the water rush over them.


The kids were excited to find the aquarium play area.  There were some fun ride-on toys, slides, and a big water table area.


When we returned to our hotel, most of our friends had started arriving.  Both Jon and I went to high school with Paul, so it was all of our old high school friends attending the wedding.  We all went out to dinner to catch up.  We were the only ones that had our kids with us.  The kids both did great at dinner.  The next day was the wedding!  It was an outdoor ceremony with a gorgeous view of the water.  Jon and I ran the kids around the playground right before the ceremony.  Brayden sat quietly and Taylor slept quietly through the whole ceremony!!  Both kids also did amazing at the reception.  Brayden was so excited to dance.  He danced on the dance floor most of the reception.  He really loved when he got to dance with the bride.  We got so many compliments on our adorable, well-behaved kids.  The night ended with a bonfire and s'mores at the beach.  A perfect end to a fabulous family vacation.
