Christmas Morning 2012!!!

On Christmas Eve, Brayden helped get ready for Santa's arrival.  We cooked and decorated sugar cookies in the afternoon and made sure to leave them out for Santa.  Brayden also made sure to leave some carrots for the reindeer.

Santa really appreciated the cookies and milk and left a ton of presents behind.

He made sure to fill Brayden's and Taylor's special Santa sacks.  He even left a special present for Brayden in a big green Santa bag.

Christmas morning Brayden woke up bouncing up and down asking if Santa came.  Taylor quickly joined in the excitement when she looked down from the upstairs railing and saw the Christmas tree all lit up surrounded by presents.

Although Brayden wanted to jump right into opening presents, we managed to distract him with his stocking.  This was Taylor's first big Christmas, since last year she was only four months old.  She had fun pulling out all sorts of treasures from her Christmas stocking.  The highlight was a talking Minnie phone!

I'm not sure who was more excited to open presents Brayden or Tanner!  We wanted to wait for Grandma and Papa to arrive to open presents, but Tanner couldn't wait!  He was climbing on top of all the presents to try and find his.  We let him open a few, because he was just too cute and determined to say no to!

That, of course, meant that Brayden and Taylor also had to open a present!

When Grandma and Papa arrived, we all headed to the kitchen for Papa's famous pancakes!  This year we added a bit more fun to breakfast by arranging the pancakes to look like reindeer!  The kids loved their reindeer pancakes and I have a feeling this will become a new Christmas tradition!
